Publisher's Letter from the Summer 2010 issue of New Homes & Ideas
With enthusiasm I begin this new chapter of success with the award-winning publication New Homes & Ideas (NHI) magazine. I look forward to building upon the foundation in which the magazine was started on, since its inception in 1995.
With the start in media over 10 years ago, I would like to pay tribute to a respected mentor, Tom Smith past Publisher, who once said "Publishing is a high mortality business. It's hard to start a publication and harder to continue to come out with something fresh & functional." I feel that we were able to do that... This issue is positively "fresh" and exceptionally "functional!"
I believe the credo "timing is everything." With buyer confidence on the rise, home sales steadily increasing and excellent mortgage rate options, it makes NOW the right time for buying new or refreshing your existing home with the latest trends! Did someone say "trends"? It's true; I am a fanatic on the latest trends and this issue will provide you with just that.
Follow NHI through the social mediums such as facebook.com, blogspot.com, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter. You will be able to follow my favorite features in what the Triangle offers in your next new home or new home community with our new "Publisher's pick of the week" blog. Also featuring the coolest trends in products and services for your new or existing homes with Michelle's "Editor's product of the week" blog, which can be found at newhomesandideas.blogspot.com.
Be on the look out for added cutting-edge concepts in our up and coming issues, which will make living much more fun & "functional"!
