Capitol Homes recently celebrated the completion of its restoration of a piece of Springfield history when it re-opened the renovated swimming pool of the old Springfield Country Club with a weekend celebration. The newly-refurbished pool, which holds fond memories for several generations of Springfield residents and is now a part of Capitol's Village Greens at Springfield neighborhood, was re-dedicated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 27 by David Luecke, founder and President of Capitol Homes, and Springfield mayor Billy Paul Carneal.
Following the ceremony, the pool - as well as Capitol's exciting, fully-furnished new Showcase Home - was open to the public for the entire weekend. Proceeds from food and drink sales benefited Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Robertson County, and DJ Zek added to the excitement, spinning classic rock'n'roll hits from the Canvas Mobile DJ truck.
Located on the site of the old Springfield Country Club, the Village Greens at Springfield is a state-of-the-art new home neighborhood which features community walking trails, a tennis court, and strategically-placed open spaces, all designed to bring neighbors together and foster a strong spirit of community and camaraderie.
